About Our Studio

Maverick Delta Studio is a small, independent grooming space built around time, attention, and craft.

We intentionally work differently to traditional barbershops. No walk-ins. No conveyor belt. No rush. Appointments are structured by time so every service has the space it needs to be done properly — whether that’s a precise fade or a full restorative session.

It’s quieter here. More personal.
A place for people who value quality over speed and relationship over transaction.

The values we live by

Craft First

Skill, technique, and care always come before speed or volume.

Time is Respect

We work by time so every client receives the attention they deserve.

Calm Environment

A slower, quieter studio designed to regulate the nervous system, not overstimulate it.

Relationship over Transactions

We build long-term trust, not one-off appointments.

Mastery & Growth

We train, mentor, and continually refine our craft — stagnation isn’t part of our culture.

Human-Centred Bussiness

People come before profit; sustainability comes before burnout.

Our Founder

Doe

I’ve spent over twenty years working with hair, but my relationship to the craft has always been deeper than the chair.

Barbering became my first language for connection — a way to slow time down, build trust, and create spaces where people feel seen. What began as a trade grew into a discipline: precision cutting, systems thinking, and designing experiences that feel calm, human, and intentional.

Alongside the studio, my work now spans education, creative direction, and performance — building Maverick Delta as a platform for craft, not just a shop. I work limited days with a small number of clients, focusing on high-attention sessions and mentoring the next generation of barbers.

If you sit in my chair, you’re not being processed.
You’re being looked after.

Studio Barber

Gus

Gus brings over 20 years of professional barbering experience to the studio, combining technical precision with an easy, grounded presence that immediately puts people at ease.

Formerly a shop owner and part of the education team for one of the UK’s largest barbering groups, he has trained barbers, led teams, and built loyal client bases everywhere he’s worked. His approach is consistent, thorough, and quietly excellent — the kind of barber you trust for years, not months.

I trust Gus with my own hair, my clients, and this space — which should tell you everything.

He is now the day-to-day custodian of the studio, welcoming new and returning clients across the week.

If you’re looking for a skilled, experienced barber who simply gets it — you’re in very safe hands.

Frequently Asked Questions

Yes, please. We do not offer walk-in appointments as it goes against the values of the service we aim to provide. However, by calling our office or booking online, you can often find last-minute slots on the same day outside of peak hours.

Unfortunately, no. We prefer a booking-only system as it allows us to plan our resources and tools for your visit. It ensures you receive our full attention without being rushed due to waiting clients. Additionally, booking in advance saves you valuable time instead of waiting in line. If possible, we will always try to fit you in on the same or the next day, but we highly recommend booking in advance to avoid disappointment.

Someone once told me a surprising statistic: If you calculate the time an average client spends waiting at a barbershop from childhood to adulthood, it amounts to roughly two weeks! Enough said—start booking, and you’ll love the convenience.

Our standard haircut appointments include a hair wash if necessary. We prefer working with freshly washed hair as it provides a better cut. If you don’t feel the need for a hair wash, just let your barber or stylist know when you arrive.

Yes, we accept both cash and card payments, including contactless payment. If you’ve paid a deposit via our app or online, we can even auto-charge the same card, meaning you may not need to bring your wallet for future appointments.

We require a 50% upfront booking fee to secure your slot. Please note that this fee is non-refundable if you don’t show up.

While you have the option to settle the full balance before your appointment, most of our clients choose to pay the remaining amount at the end of their visit.
