Masculine Hairdressing/ Barber Cutting intensive Course
Who’s it for: absolute beginners looking to make a professional start in a Barbering career or hobby. It is also suitable for experienced Hairdressers looking to add Men’s Hair to their service list. Your final practical day you will be working on lives models.
What Will I learn:
- Health & Safety specific to Barbering environments
- Hair Wash & Conditioning as a service provider
- Tool Selection & Set-up
- Basics of sectioning & Head shapes
- The Basic of a Men’s Haircut Shape
- Do’s & Don’ts of a great short back and sides
- The 1st Method: A Step by Step method you can follow and practice to achieve great results and build on.
- Blow drying and Styling foundations.
What Qualification WIll I Achieve:a Maverick Delta Academy Certification which is currently being developed as a CPD qualification.
What Can I Use it For?:
To build a basic understanding of the techniques required to master barbering. To put you in a position to be able to start practicing confidently on real life models. It is a the starting point to obtaining further knowledge and qualifications with us or any other barbering academy.

Masculine Hairdressing/ Barber Cutting Intensive Course
Who’s it for: ideal for those with the very basics already under their belt. Here we start to go deeper into more than one method/ scenario. You will grasp several shapes for different styles and begin to alter your approach based on clients growth patterns and head shape.you will learning in a professional salon environment and will mostly be practicing on live models.
What Will I learn:
Intermediate health & safety essentials
Essential selection of most popular styles & shapes
Intermediate level grips & scissor techniques
The fundamentals of essential client consultations
The basics of tapering
Line-up & shaping up
Introduction to styling and blow drying techniques suitable to different styles and hair types.
What Qualification WIll I Achieve:a Maverick Delta Academy Certification which is currently being developed as a full CPD qualification.
What Can I Use it For?:
Excellent for those with some grounding in barbering or for those who have completed foundation level training.
Highly experienced hairdressers with some experience of clippers could start here following consultation with our instructor.

Clipper & Fade Course Intensive Course
Who’s it for: perfectly formed for those with a real grasp of clipper work. If your achiving good results on a simple short back and sides this is when we go deep into clipper work and fading. Clippers can be use several different ways and fading is often classed as the Picasso of Barbering. Here we will coach you not only in getting more out of your clipper work but also a method for achiving clean professional grade fades all the way down to skin. This is everything you will need to master fades and clipper work the only thing that will remain for you to do is practice practice practice.
What Will I learn:
Advance tool selection
Razor to skin level health and safety
Advance grip and angles
Tapering to skin
Skin fade method
Alternative fade shapes
What Qualification WIll I Achieve:
Our Maverick Delta Certificate in advanced clipper and fades. Currently undergoing assessment to be a CPD course.

Yes please for your own safety and for the safety of others we have had to limit the number of people allowed on site at any time. Therefore there will be no waiting in our lounge.
Alas my friends no, we love booking only as it allows us to plan resources/ tools for your visit. It allows you to have our attention fully and not be rushed by others waiting. Also we believe it saves you valuable time, rather than spending your day waiting for us. If possible we will always try to fit you in the same or next day but please try to book in advance we don’t want to let you down as we are popular boys and girls.
Someone once told me a scary statistic, if you calculated how many hours an average client has spent waiting at the barber between boy to man it would equate to roughly 2 weeks. Enough said get into booking you’ll love it.
Our standard appointment is a wash, cut and dry for hygiene and Covid safety reasons most of our services include a wash. We prefer working with freshly washed hair as it cuts better. Speak to your barber when you arrive if you don’t feel you need a hair wash.
Don’t worry we all know the odd technophobe. You can still book just call us on 01273 582 611 and we can book it in for you.
Yes we take both guys if you feel more comfortable with a card payment at the moment that’s fine we have contactless payment available on site. Please note thou if you wish to tip your barber we can only accept gratitude in cash on the day.
We take 50% up front as a booking fee to secure your slot. Please note it is non-refundable if you don’t show up on the day.
Although we give you the option to settle the balance before you arrive and many of our clients choose to, the balance is only payable at the end of your appointment.
Things happen unexpectedly we know therefore we offer a full refund cancellation or a no questions asked reschedule up to 24hrs before your appointment. you can login and reschedule your own appointment. Although if you wish to talk to us just call the lounge on 01273 582 116.
